The extCZIP®-PRO protection relays are new versions of devices belonging to the CZIP® system. They are designed for implementing protection automation, control, measurement, recording, and supervision of medium-voltage switchgear fields in power network systems.

The extCZIP®-PRO series relays are characterized by high flexibility in selecting the available number of input, output, and communication ports.

  • Software for all MV switchgear fields integrated into a single device.
  • Predefined field settings for faster configuration.
  • Support for programmable logics (up to 50).
  • 7” color TFT LCD display (800x480 resolution) with a touchscreen interface.
  • Synoptic diagram display for switchgear fields with real-time visualization of switch statuses.
  • Switch control directly from the synoptic screen or via remote control/telemechanics (up to 11 switches).
  • Display of recorded events, measured values, and the status of inputs and outputs.
  • 28 or 56 opto-isolated binary inputs for reliable signal reception.
  • 20 or 40 relay outputs for flexible control of external devices.
  • 14 dual-color programmable LEDs, with on-screen descriptions, and dedicated ON/OFF buttons for field breaker control from the device keypad.
  • 512 MB internal memory for storing disturbance recorder samples, event logs, and energy measurement data.
  • Time synchronization via Ethernet using SNTP protocol.
  • Independent communication interfaces, including USB, 2x RS-485, Ethernet 10/100 BASE-TX (optional fiber optic port and CAN-BUS/RS-485).
  • Support for communication protocols: DNP 3.0, IEC 60870-5-103 and 104, IEC 61850, Modbus® ASCII/RTU (optional PPM2 protocol via CAN-BUS/RS-485).
  • 2-bit monitoring of all switch statuses, with optional phase current measurement inputs compatible with low-power current transducers based on Rogowski coils.

  • extCZIP PRO (1X) – Protection relay for auxiliary supply fields in a network with a neutral point grounded using a parallel system.

  • extCZIP PRO (1K) – Protection relay for auxiliary supply fields in a network with a neutral point isolated or grounded through a reactor.
  • extCZIP PRO (1P) – Protection relay for auxiliary supply fields in a network with a neutral point grounded through a resistor.
